Mama and her Chicks

I went over to my favorite neighbor farmgirl's place the other day. She was away but the barnyard was full. Look at these adorable chicks and their protective mama. How can I possibly pick a favorite?

You can click on the photo to see a larger version. They are all a little dark because I tried not to blind them with the flash.

I gotta say, the world of blogging is something else. I was looking at my own profile this morning, while literally waiting for (fabric) paint to dry. As I glanced at my musical favorites, I noticed that I could click on them. What would happen, I wondered, if I clicked on Freakwater. Well, it led me to others who like Freakwater (and other groups I like). This blogging thing is great. Just spend a little too much time doing it. I live in State College, PA. In town with a little yard. Been wondering if its legal to raise chickens in my backyard. Love those chickens. If I can't have chickens, I need a noise machine that makes those gentle clucking sounds.

I just love those photos (the chickens, actually) - trying to think of a way to put them on Moo Cards.

Kim, check out the music videos and the bottom of my blog. You might like The Be Good Tanyas if you haven't already heard of them.

Thanks for visiting, everyone! :-)

You are living the life in my dreams! I'm inspired to talk my fiance into moving to the country.

I love Freakwater too!

I often feel like that mama chicken when my kids climb all over me, lol. Julie, wannabe chicken owner.
